Torgem Shipbuilding Floats Out 23m DOT Tug

Torgem Shipbuilding Ind & Trade AS recently launched a 23m DOT tug built to a Macduff design. The tug utilities Mampaey DOT towing system adding safety, controllability and, above all, flexibility to the performance of tugs enabling them to rotate in all directions in a safe and controlled manner irrespective of the heading of the assisted vessel.

In June 2012, Macduff secured it’s largest single contract for a total of ten vessels comprising five new designs. The order has been placed by Torgem in Turkey who are building the vessels for Saudi Arabia.
