Research Vessel Seliger Passes Sea Trials, Russia

Yantar Shipyard, in collaboration with the Russian Black Sea fleet specialists, has completed the official state sea trials for Research & Survey Vessel Seliger.

RV Seliger, designed by the Central Marine Design Bureau “Almaz”, is the first out of two similar vessels that will be built for the Russian Navy. The contract for the construction of these vessels of Project 11982 and Project 22010, worth RUB 7 bln (approx $ 222.7 mln), was signed between Yantar Shipyard and the Defense Ministry in February 2009.
