Vietnam - SEAS Christens FSIV Bourbon Shamal

FSIV BOURBON SHAMAL was christened on Saturday January the 12th by SEAS in Vietnam, prior to her ship-owner handover.

Designed by Piriou Ingénierie and Mauric Design, and built by the Piriou SEAS shipyard in Vietnam, this brand new series relies on the solid experience both companies have and on their long-term partnership with BOURBON, which in 2004 resulted in the very first FSIV (Fast Support Intervention Vessels) series in the BOURBON fleet.

The inauguration of BEN LUC aluminum dedicated yard new facilities was celebrated during this event. From now on, vessels construction will be completed under shed of a 1000 sqm hall, while the new concrete ramp will allow launching of vessels up to 60m in length.

Through this investment, PIRIOU asserts its determination to produce in series this type of ships at competitive price and high quality.

BOURBON SHAMAL is a 53m FSIV, the largest of PIRIOU In-house designed FPSV comprehensive range, which includes vessels from 19m to 53m.
