Repaired Cartola Departs Chengxi Shipyard

On September 3, the second Brazilian oil tanker named Cartola, which is the same type of vessel as Ataulfo Alves, both owned by Petrobras Transporte S.A., departed from Chengxi Shipyard (Xinrong) Co., Ltd., indicating that its repair project was successfully completed.

It is Xinrong’s performance in the repair project of Ataulfo Alves and Cartola that ensured the owner’s trust, paving the way for Xinrong to get the opportunity to continue the cooperation with the owner, the shipyard said in a release.

Built by Hyundai Heavy Industries based in Ulsan, South Korea in 2000, the shuttle tanker encompasses 9 m in draught and 272 meters in length.
