China: Boluomiao Shipyard Repairs Special Purpose Ship LONG ZHOU

 

The special purpose ship “Long Zhou” was well repaired by CIC Boluomiao Shipyard and re-delivered to the owners on April 23, 2011. Ship-owners and the ship crews were very satisfied with this repair service.

The repair work of the asphalt carrier “Long Zhou” included 6 cylinder heads overhaul of the main engine, one set generator renewal, the conventional dock repair, the repair of the generator , central air conditioning and freezers, cargo oil heating pipe and valves, as well as some cargo oil pipe renewal.

The ship-owners were very much concerned for the repair quality and technology, it must be passivated after the stainless steel pipe welding, the assembling welding seam must be carefully grinded to smooth feel and so on.

The shipyard stood to the tenet “Be heartfelt to vessels as well as to people” and provided to the ship owners a “Star Service”.

The safety department under the special safety requirements, from anti fire and explosion, electric shock, anti-high-fall, set down the “safety planning for “Long Zhou” during the repair period ” and sent to the relevant departments and personnel, required them to obey the planning which at last ensured a safe production and the occupational health of the staff.

CIC Boluomiao Shipyard, a subsidiary of China Shipping Industry Co. Ltd, is an integrated ship repair base in South China with 40-year ship repair experience. Now Boluomiao Shipyard consists of two sites which are Huangpu and Haizhu sites. The Huangpu Site has a quay line of 540 m, locates at the joint of Zhongshan Avenue and Huangpu Bridge, neighboring to Huangpforu Port, which is the largest port in South China. Vessels up to 80000DWT can be undertaken for repair and/or conversion; And Haizhu Site has a quay line of 332 m, locates at the joint of Guang zhou Avenue, South Circumference Highway and Luoxi Bridge. Vessels up to 16000DWT can be undertaken for repair and/or conversion, vessels up to 8000DWT can be undertaken for docking repair.
