China Shipping Industry Co., Ltd. took part in Sea Asia 2013, held from April 9th, 2013 to April 11th in Singapore, as one of the exhibitors. China Shipping Industry (Shanghai Pudong)Co., Ltd & China Shipping Industry (Jiangsu)Co., Ltd were in charge of the preparations for the exhibition.

Although international financial crisis struck the ship repair & shipbuilding industry considerably, CIC-Shipyards planned to avail of the chance to get to know the trends and developments on the global shipping market, the latest industry technology of ship repairing market along with the findings of the latest research but also to attract new customers.

CIC-Shipyards is focusing on ship repair as core business, in addition to simultaneous repair with new building, therefore the event was a perfect opportunity to promote steady development of ship repair and shipbuilding but also to attract attention to CIC-Shipyards opening the door for new business opportunities.

Sea Asia, which articulates the voice of the Asian maritime communities, has captured the imagination of the global shipping community. Located at Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands Conference and Exhibition Centre, it has become a must-attend event.

This year’s event occupied almost 17,000 sq m of gross space at Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre. It had more than 7,000 sqm of net used space in an exhibition booked by 385 maritime and shipping businesses from 36 countries. There were nine country pavilions from China, Holland, Japan, Korea, Norway, Panama, Qatar, Singapore and the UK.
