Keppel Secures Two FPSO Deals from Repeat Clients

Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M), through its subsidiaries – Keppel FELS Brasil S.A. (Keppel FELS Brasil) and Keppel Shipyard Ltd (Keppel Shipyard) – have secured two contracts worth S$200 million from repeat customers.

Eni has made a new natural gas discovery within the Mamba Complex, in Area 4, offshore Mozambique, at the Coral 3 delineation well, which is the eighth well drilled back to back in Area 4.

 

CNOOC Buys Canada’s Nexen for $15.1 Bln

China’s state-controlled oil company CNOOC Limited  has completed its acquisition of Canada’s oil company Nexen Inc.  Total consideration of approximately US$15.1 billion has been paid for Nexen’s common and preferred shares.

USCG Discovers 16 Safety Violations on Shell’s Noble Discoverer

One of two Arctic drilling ships employed by Shell Oil does not have proper propulsion to handle all expected weather conditions, has engine trouble, and multiple fire hazards on board the ship, according to sixteen violations identified by the Coast Guard, which were made public on Friday, February 22.

 

Subsea 7 Clinches $285 Mln UK North Sea Contract

Subsea 7 S.A. has been awarded a contract from Talisman Sinopec Energy UK Limited to install two 5 kilometre pipeline bundles in the UK North Sea. The contract, valued at US$285 million is for the provision of subsea construction services in support of Talisman Sinopec Energy UK’s Montrose Area Redevelopment Project.
