Van Oord CFO retires after 18 years in office

Van Oord, a Dutch company providing dredging and offshore services, will have a new Chief Financial Officer by the end of 2016.

Rotterdam-based company said on Tuesday its current CFO Arjan van de Kerk will retire at the end of the year after having been employed at Van Oord for 18 years.

In his place, Van Oord has decided to appoint Jolanda Poots-Bijl. She will join Van Oord in September, and will take over from Van de Kerk at the end of 2016.

Jolanda Poots-Bijl is 46 years old and has held several financial positions over a period of almost 25 years. She is presently CFO at Ordina (ICT) and was previously CFO at Volker Wessels (construction).

The Dutch company last month reported record results for the full year 2015, with a record revenue of 2.58 billion euros, an increase of 23%, compared to 2.1 billion in 2014. The company also posted a record profit of 169 million euros, up from 119 million euros in 2014.
