UK: Moray First Marine Places Order for Sub Atlantic Mojave ROV

Moray First Marine Ltd. has secured 50% match funding from the Scottish Government’s European Fisheries Fund (Axis 4) programme and The Moray Council for the purchase of a new and much improved ROV. The Lossiemouth based business has placed an order for a Sub Atlantic Mojave ROV and they expect it to arrive just in time for Christmas.

Plans are already at an advanced stage to utilize the new ROV within both the aquaculture and marine renewables sectors offering their customers a much-improved service.

The Mojave ROV is the most powerful and modern in its class of inspection ROV and it can be operated from a wide range of platforms such as the back of a van or either of the Moray First Marine’s current vessels. It can also be fitted with a range of sensors and tools to enhance its already impressive capabilities. This versatility makes it a safe and cost effective option when used in many survey and recovery applications including hydro schemes, harbour surveys, civil construction, and security, not to mention its capability in the oil and gas industry.

The Moray First Marine team, headed up by fully qualified ROV supervisor, Bill Ruck, bring together over 18 years of ROV industry experience and over the years have built up a strong reputation for saving their clients time and money including the recovery of several £1000s of lost equipment for an offshore windfarm customer with their current VideoRay ROV. The arrival of the Mojave will see the company continue to supply this service at much greater depths than previously possible.

Business owner, Bill Ruck stated ‘We are obviously delighted to have received this funding for the Mojave which will see the business grow and allow us to offer a vastly improved service to both current and new customers. We have already received quite a bit of interest in the Mojave and we look forward to working with our clients throughout 2013’ He added ‘We expect the arrival of the new ROV will be the catalyst for business growth and we are already looking for suitable candidates to join our expanding team’.
