Reach Subsea Mobilizes ‘Edda Fonn’

Norwegian subsea operator, Reach Subsea has started the mobilization of Edda Fonn.

In June this year, the company signed a three-year time charter agreement, plus option to extend, with Østensjø Rederi for the subsea IMR, survey and ROV support vessel. The vessel is equipped with ROV hangar and a 100T Active Heave Compensation offshore crane.

Following the charter agreement, Jostein Alendal, Reach Subsea CEO, said: “Edda Fonn is a vessel we are very familiar with and which is very suitable for the services we offer to the market. This fleet expansion is also in line with our business plan. We look forward to start offshore operations from “Edda Fonn” together with Østensjø.”

Edda Fonn is a multipurpose DP II vessel capable of performing ROV based survey, inspection, and construction support operations. The vessel has an overall length of 84.7 meters, 18 meters abeam, 700 square meters aft deck and a 7.2×7.2 meters working moonpool.
