E.ON Takes Care of Faulty Cable Section at Rampion OWF

A section of one of the export cables for the Rampion offshore wind farm, located in UK, was cut out due to a fault in the fibre optic communications core.

According to E.ON’s email statement, the section will be jointed in Q2 2017.

The faulty cable will not have any impact on the construction schedule set to continue as planned this spring, the company noted.

It involves the installation of the wind turbines at the Rampion wind farm, sited 13 kilometers off the Sussex coast, between Brighton and Lancing

The wind farm is expected to be completed in 2018.
