Russia: Gazprom, Gasunie Discuss New Cooperation Possibilities

Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee and Paul van Gelder, Chairman of the Executive Board, CEO of Gasunie held a working meeting in the framework of St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2012.

The two leaders discussed the prospects of cooperation in the global energy market. They noted the successful cooperation between the companies in such areas as natural gas transportation, scientific and technical cooperation, small scale LNG , exchange of experience and staff training.

In addition, the meeting participants discussed the issues of energy efficiency, environment protection, “green gas” production in Russia and providing opportunities for using its benefits in the EU countries.

By the results of the meeting, the parties agreed on signing in the nearest future a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in developing small scale LNG and motor fuel supplies.
