Repsol YPF SA’s Canaport terminal in Canada is due to get one liquefied natural gas cargo from Trinidad and Tobago this week, according to shipping data.

The cargo is being hauled by the 135,423 m3 tanker Madrid Spirit, which departed from Trinidad’s Point Fortin LNG terminal yesterday.

Canaport LNG began operations in June of 2009 and it is the first LNG terminal in Canada.

It has a maximum send-out capacity of 1.2 billion cubic feet (BCF) or 28 million cubic metres of natural gas per day.
