Landing Ship INS Shardul commissioned at Karwar

Defence Minister A K Antony dedicated INS Shardul, a landing Warship to the nation at the jetty of Karwar Naval Base, INS Kadamba, here on Thursday.

Additional ships would be provided to the naval base soon, Antony said. The Centre aims to upgrade and modernize INS Kadamba, the biggest naval base in the Asia, he said.
