Finnish Navy Releases Tender for Hameenmaa Class Mine-Hunter Ship R&M Services

Under the open procedure on Oct 15 2011 Finnish Navy, Merivoimien Esikunta, released tender worth 600.000 Eur for Hämeenmaa class mine-hunter ship R&M services.

The scope of the work for Hämeenmaa class mine-hunter ship includes design, materials, fabrication, installation, deployment, and documentation. All works should be finished within 6 months from date of contract award.

The Hämeenmaa Class mine-hunters were built by Finyards (now STX Finland Cruise Oy) at its Rauma shipyard for the Finnish Navy. Two mine-hunters are currently homeported at Pansio. Primarily designed for laying mines in the Baltic Sea, the Hämeenmaa Class mine-hunters can also be deployed in escort, patrol, anti-submarine and sea transport missions.
