Adria Winch, Seaonics Supply Deck Equipment for Siem Offshore's OSCV

Croatia’s Adria Winch, together with its partner Seaonics AS has recently received an equipment order for two Offshore Subsea Construction Vessels, currently under construction at STX OSV Brattvaag Shipyard. The vessels are being built for a Norwegian owner of offshore support vessels, Siem Offshore.

Under the contract, Adria Winch and Seaonics will supply custom deigned deck equipment for the vessels. The scope of supply includes two electrical anchor mooring winches for 56K3 chain category with stoppers and two electrical mooring winches with 100 kN pulling force.

“The Electrically driven winches have far better efficiency than traditional hydraulic system. Latest technology of variable frequency drives (VFD) allows controllable speed and line pull force. This technical solution reduces installation costs, power consumption, as well as time-saving, anchor-mooring operations.”

According to a spokesman from Adria Winch, the value of each contract is EUR 203.400.

“The contract for Offshore Subsea Construction Vessels is a successful follow-up to earlier cooperation with STX OSV company on three Fishing Vessels – “Gadus Poseidon“ , “Gadus Njård“ and “Gadus Neptun“ which were constructed for Norwegian company Aker Seafood ASA,” said Adria Winch in a press release.

The vessels will have an overall length of 121 meters, a beam of 22 meters and will be equipped with a 250t AHC crane.
