Adriatic LNG issues single cargo tender

Adriatic LNG said that it launched a tender for the peak shaving service on 30 December.

The aim of the procedure is to identify the available parties to supply one LNG cargo with quantities between a minimum of 60,000 and a maximum of 65,000 cbm of LNG in the period 9 – 16 February 2015, Adriatic LNG said in a statement.

The peak shaving service is one of the emergency measures established by the Decree of the Ministry of the Economic Development during the thermal year 2014-2015, according to the statement.

Adriatic LNG facility is located offshore of Porto Levante, in the northern Adriatic Sea, about 15 kilometers off the Veneto coastline, where it is set on the sea floor.

Overall, the offshore terminal is designed around a large concrete structure, which houses two LNG tanks, and includes a regasification plant and facilities for mooring and unloading LNG vessels.

It is overall 375 mt. long, 115 mt. wide and the main deck is 18 mt. above sea level, with the top of the flare tower rising 87 mt. above sea level.
