AGR’s Reservoir Management UK division (RM UK) is gearing up for a busy year ahead and has grown its sub-surface department with the addition of Steve Adams, Principal Geologist.

Steve, who will be based in AGR’s Aberdeen office, has over 30 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry, with a strong background in international sub-surface studies and project management.

He brings a proven track record in valuation studies and due diligence reporting and so will also be supplementing AGR’s Acquisitions and Divestments (A&D) team, supporting their TRACS Evaluations service offering.

In 2013, AGR re-launched TRACS Evaluations, a banner for a range of services supporting commercial activities in the oil and gas industry. This was in direct response to the rising demand for Due Diligence reporting and Competent Person’s Reports. Over the last twelve months the TRACS Evaluations team has seen activity levels steadily increase.

Tim Wynn, A&D Co-ordinator, explained: “Recent, large-scale divestments by the big operators have highlighted the global interest in opportunities throughout West Africa and Northwest Europe. Steve brings extensive experience to AGR and we are excited that he will be part of the A&D team allowing us to strengthen and expand our services even further.”

Steve has recently been working in the Asia Pacific region, heading up the exploration drive and assessing new business opportunities. Prior to that he was embedded in production asset teams in the North Sea. His broad range of experience is a natural fit with the wide spectrum of sub-surface project types that AGR’s reservoir team handles.

Mike Wynne, Vice President for AGR’s RM UK, said: “We have seen a very busy start to 2014 and the outlook for the second half appears very healthy. We are pleased that, with a growing team, we can continue to support our existing clients and attract new business across our core business areas, namely integrated development projects and A&D evaluations.”

AGR’s RM UK (formerly TRACS) has almost 20 years’ experience of providing independent sub-surface reservoir management advice to private and national oil companies, banks and other financial institutions. The reservoir studies have a global coverage in all major basins and reservoir types, including challenging environments such as (ultra-) HP/HT gas condensate, heavy oil reservoirs and complex fractured reservoirs.
