Aker BP adds more time to Simon Møkster’s platform supply duo

PSV Stril Polar

Norwegian oil company Aker BP has added more contract time to a pair of supply vessels owned by its compatriot shipping company, Simon Møkster Shipping.

The vessel owner informed on Thursday that Aker BP has extended the present contracts for Stril Polar and Stril Orion for a period of five months firm. The contracts also include options starting from August 1, 2017.

“We are very happy for this opportunity to carry on our services for Aker BP,” the shipping company said.

Stril Polar is a platform supply vessel of a STX PSV 09L CD design delivered in February 2012.

Stril Orion is also a PSV of the same design delivered to its owner in October 2011. Both vessels are 93.5 meters long and 19 meters wide.
