Alaska LNG Terminal Exported One Cargo in November

The Kenai LNG terminal in Alaska exported one LNG cargo or 41,441 mt in November, according to U.S. DOE.

The cargo was bought by Tokyo Electric for $17.25 per mmBtu.

The 1.5 MTPA Kenai Alaska LNG plant, operated by ConocoPhillips, started up in 1969 and has achieved over 40 years of uninterrupted supply to Japanese customers.

Kenai was the world’s largest plant when built, the first to serve the Asia-Pacific market, and the first to use gas fired turbines for process refrigeration.
