Apache Corporation names new North Sea head

Oil and gas company Apache Corporation has appointed a new managing director of its subsidiary, Apache North Sea, on March 31, 2017.

Apache’s spokesperson told Offshore Energy Today on Monday that the company named Jon A. Graham as the North Sea region vice president and the managing director of Apache North Sea, succeeding Cory L. Loegering.

“After two years leading the organization and seven years with Apache in various leadership positions, Cory Loegering retired in late March. We appreciate his service and wish him well in retirement,” said Apache’s spokesperson.

Loegering held the managing director role since 2015 and was also the vice president of the UK Region. Before moving to Apache’s Aberdeen base, he had served as the vice president for the Gulf of Mexico region.

Graham previously served as the vice president of Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental since January 2014.

The new Apache North Sea head also served as the vice president of Environmental, Health, and Safety and as the company’s region vice president and country manager in Argentina.

He joined the company in 1994 as a reservoir engineering manager in the Rockies Region. Graham was also the vice president of reservoir engineering in Canada, reservoir engineering manager for the Western and Gulf of Mexico regions, Gulf Coast Onshore Region vice president, and engineering general manager for Apache Egypt Companies.

Before his Apache career, Graham was associated with Hunt Oil, Pacific Enterprises, Santa Fe Minerals, and Amoco.
