Apply Oil & Gas to Build Living Quarters for West Epsilon Rig

North Atlantic Drilling has awarded Apply Oil & Gas (AOG) a contract for the construction of 20 new single occupancy cabins on board the West Epsilon jack-up rig.

Apply AOG received the letter of intent in the beginning of January and engineering work started immediately. Vice president for AOG, Morten Solland, says that the company has been allocated a limited area on board the rig and the design has necessitated some modifications as a result.

The module will be produced in two parts, fitted together before being sent offshore for installation.  Installation will take place in June/July and before the readying of Gudrun field in the Norwegian part of the North Sea, of which West Epsilon is part.
