Apply Sørco Wins $48.5M Kvitebjorn Deal

Statoil has awarded a two year option on the frame agreement for maintenance and modifications (M&M) related to the Kvitebjørn platform in the North Sea to Apply. The Contract has a value of million NOK 300 ($48.5 million).

“The contract secures continuity for Apply within maintenance and modifications offshore and represents an important foundation for continued growth and development in the Norwegian M&M market,” says Frederik Hvistendahl, Managing Director of Apply Sørco.

Apply’s project organization in Bergen will be responsible for execution of the contract. The Contract on Kvitebjørn will together with the M&M Contract related to the Valemon platform engage around 200 people in Apply.

The Kvitebjørn gas and condensate field lies in block 34/11, east of Gullfaks in the Norwegian North Sea. It has been developed with a fully-integrated fixed steel platform with drilling and process facilities and living quarters.

Production from Kvitebjørn began on 26 September 2004. The field began delivering natural gas on 1 October 2004.
