Aqualis bags ONGC extension

United India Insurance Company has reappointed Aqualis Offshore, London-based offshore marine and engineering consultancy company, as the marine warranty services provider to India’s Oil and Natural Gas Corporation’s (ONGC) assets offshore India.

Aqualis said in today’s press release that the extension awarded on Wednesday is the third one-year contract since the company first started working for the United India Insurance Company and ONGC in 2014.

The company said that, under the agreement, it will continue to provide marine warranty services to ONGC’s fleet of jack-up rigs and mobile offshore production units (MOPU) in Indian waters.

Rodger Dickson, group marine director of Aqualis Offshore said: “A contract extension such as this is the best possible confirmation that a client is satisfied with the services we provide. We look forward to continue supporting ONGC and its many assets operating offshore India.”

Aqualis said it will support ONGC with marine warranty surveyors from its office in Dubai. The operations include review of rig move documentation, issue of certification and on-board attendance.
