A cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Transport of Yemen and the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport was signed in Alexandria.

Arab Academy of Maritime Transport Establishes Branch in Aden

The agreement, signed by the Minister of Transport, Dr. Waed Badeeb and the Head of the Academy, Dr. Ismail Abdul Ghafar Ismail provides for the establishment of a branch of the Academy in Aden in the fields of training, qualification, research and consulting.

The agreement also affirmed the creation of a quality management system in Yemeni ports corporations. Following the signing ceremony, the Minister confirmed Yemen’s keenness to strengthen the bonds of cooperation with the Academy on maritime activities in all Yemeni maritime corporations.

The Minister said: “We aim through the establishment of a branch of the Academy in Yemen to receive hundreds of Arab students in the Arabian Peninsula, the Gulf and the Horn of Africa, to gain knowledge of modern science and technology in marine science.”
