Argentina: YPF closes 15 LNG cargo tender

Argentina’s YPF has reportedly named the winners of its tender seeking a total of 32 cargoes of LNG for delivery from April to August.

Reuters reported that 15 of the 32 cargoes for the delivery between April and May have been awarded to Shell, BP, Gazprom, Trafigura and others that have not yet been confirmed.

YPF is looking to have the eight of the 15 cargoes delivered to the 500 mmscf/d GNL Escobar terminal located on the Parana River, some 30 miles outside Buenos Aires.

The remaining cargoes are set for delivery to the Bahia Blanca terminal located some 400 miles south of Buenos Aires. The Bahia Blanca terminal also has a baseload regasification capacity of 500 mmscf/d.

It is unclear whether the remaining 17 cargoes for delivery from June through August have been awarded.
