Ashtead Technology names UK regional head

Subsea equipment specialist Ashtead Technology has appointed a new UK regional director to its leadership team.

Ashtead said that Brett Lestrange was appointed as the UK regional director. The company added that Lestrange would bring more than 25 years of experience in the subsea industry to the company.

Based in Aberdeen, Lestrange joins Ashtead from HCS Control Systems where he held the position of chief executive officer and developed the business as a service-led subsea manufacturing company, expanding its customer base locally and internationally.

Before this, he was a founding partner of Frontrow Energy Partners and held a number of senior and technical positions at Expro Group, including the head of subsea.

Lestrange began his career in the oil and gas industry in 1992, when he joined Woodside Offshore Petroleum as a graduate engineer.

Allan Pirie, chief executive of Ashtead, said: “Brett’s appointment further strengthens the Aberdeen based team as the business continues to expand its service offering to support our customers’ ever more complex challenges.

“Brett brings a wealth of engineering expertise and a proven track-record in delivering customer focussed cost effective solutions which is our key goal.”

Regarding his appointment, Lestrange added: “Ashtead is known for delivering expertise to meet the exact needs of its customers in an increasingly challenging market. I am pleased to be joining such an experienced and knowledgeable team, and I look forward to playing a role in its future successes.”
