Australia AusGroup Secures Contract with Fugro-TSM for Woodside’s GWF Project

AusGroup Limited subsidiary, AGC Industries Pty Ltd (‘AGC’), a leading Australian based fabrication and construction group, announced it has secured fabrication work with Fugro-TSM for Woodside’s Greater Western Flank (GWF) project.

The contract is for the fabrication of post metrology subsea spools for the first phase of the project which will commence immediately for a period of 12 months.

The work will be performed in Kwinana and at the Australian Marine Complex (AMC) quay side facility in Henderson, south of Perth, Western Australia. It is expected to create work for approximately 30 new staff, based at the AMC.

Upon completion, the spools will be loaded out at AMC Henderson for marine transportation to the Greater Western Flank area, off the north-west coast of Australia.

As an expansion of the North West Shelf project, the A$2.5 billion GWF Phase 1 project will develop the Goodwyn GH and Tidepole fields.

The work to be performed is highly critical and requires tightly regulated quality procedures. AGC’s systems, previous performance, and experience provide confidence with clients when undertaking such work.

“As AGC continues to support the domestic gas and the LNG sector, we are pleased to be involved in supplying key infrastructure for the first phase of the Greater Western Shelf Project”, said AGC CEO and Managing Director, Laurie Barlow.

FugroTSM and the parent company Fugro support the exploration, development, production and transportation of the world’s natural resources as well as providing their clients with technical data and information which is used to design, construct and maintain structures and infrastructure both onshore and offshore.

With this contract award, AusGroup’s order book now stands at AU$271.1 million.
