Australia: Mackay Marina Breakwater Project Progresses Well
Works are continuing on the southern breakwater at the Mackay Marina since the damage caused by Tropical Cyclone Dylan in late January, announced North Queensland Bulk Ports Corporation.
NQBP has commissioned extensive radar imaging of the breakwater that allows engineers to gain a more comprehensive understanding of rock movement along the wall as the result of wave damage.
Corporation has called for tenders for the supply of armour rock and should be in a position to determine the scope and extent of the maintenance work required in the coming weeks.
