Australia: Metgasco Announces Death of Non-Executive Director Steven Koroknay

Metgasco announced that Non-Executive Director Steven J Koroknay died suddenly yesterday, 6 June, 2013.

Metgasco’s Chairman, Nick Heath, said that Steve’s death was a shock and a real loss for Metgasco and the petroleum industry. Steve had a major influence on the Australian petroleum industry over a 40 year career, which started in the early days of the Esso/BHPP development of Bass Strait oil and gas reserves in Victoria, to chief executive roles with companies such as Bridge Oil and Anzon.

Mr Heath said: “Steve’s astute technical and commercial contributions to the Metgasco Board and his friendship with all directors and staff will be sorely missed. On behalf of Metgasco’s current and former staff and directors I would like to express our sympathy and condolences to Steve’s wife and family.”
