Axess to continue providing periodic surveys for Odfjell rigs

Axess Group, an asset integrity management, engineering, and consultancy solutions provider, and rig owner Odfjell Drilling have signed an extension of a frame agreement held between the companies since 2016.

Axess said earlier this week that the long-term agreement would see the company continuing to conduct periodic surveys of lifting appliances and lifting gear on Odfjell Drilling’s offshore drilling units.

However, Axess has not revealed any further details of the agreement and its extension with Odfjell Drilling.

Knut Stefanussen, CCO of Axess Group, said, “Axess is delighted to continue this long–lasting partnership, supporting Odfjell in ensuring the integrity of their assets and equipment”.

In related news, Odfjell Drilling, a drilling contractor with operations in more than 20 countries, has recently decided to retrofit its newest deepwater drilling rigs with the Siemens Energy BlueDrive DC-Grid system in a push towards zero-emission drilling.

The upgrades will be carried out on Deepsea Atlantic and Deepsea Nordkapp rigs, with the opportunity to include Deepsea Stavanger, Deepsea Aberdeen, and Deepsea Yantai at a later stage.
