Bahamas Petroleum Company Announces Appointment of Alternate Director

Bahamas Petroleum, the oil and gas exploration company with offshore licence permits in The Commonwealth of The Bahamas, announces the appointment of Laurence Keenan to act as an Alternate Director to Alan Burns, the Non-Executive Chairman.

Laurence (Larry) Keenan, age 56, will be working alongside Alan Burns on all Company affairs and will attend and have the right to vote at board meetings in Alan’s absence, where necessary. Mr Keenan’s appointment will afford Mr Burns time to concentrate on his continued convalescence following surgery earlier in the year.

Mr Keenan is an Isle of Man Advocate and solicitor at Laurence Keenan Advocates & Solicitors, which he established in 1992. He was admitted as an Advocate at the Manx Bar in December 1990 and practiced at Gough & Co on the Isle of Mann before setting up his own firm.

Alan Burns, Non-Executive Chairman of Bahamas Petroleum, said:

I have known Larry for many years and he has been involved with Bahamas Petroleum since its inception providing support in an advisory capacity. I am delighted that Larry has agreed to assist me as my Alternate on the Board of the Company during my recovery from recent medical treatment and until my return to full time duties, he is the ideal candidate for the role with his extensive experience as an advocate and public company adviser.
