Bahrain, Gazprom in LNG Talks

Bahrain is in negotiations with Russia’s Gazprom to buy about 3 million mt of LNG per annum.

The LNG will be delivered to Bahrain’s terminal expected to open by 2015.

“Originally we would start off with say 400 million cfd of gas and that could be slowly ramped up,” Abdul-Hussain bin Ali Mirza, Bahrain’s energy minister told Reuters.

He also said that the country was in talks with Gazprom about delivering it.
