Beach Energy makes changes to executive team

Beach Energy of Australia on Wednesday said it has made changes to its senior executive team following a recent organizational review. 

According to the company’s statement, Michael Dodd, currently serving as group executive, exploration and development, has been named as Beach Energy’s chief operating officer, effective January 3, 2017.

He joined Beach Energy in 2007, and prior to joining the company held senior technical and leadership roles at BG, Santos and Anadarko.

Kevin Welsh, who served as acting CFO for the past four months returns to his former role of general manager, production.

In addition to the CFO appointment, Beach Energy named Jeff Schrull as group executive, exploration and development.

Schrull, who brings over 30 years of upstream oil and gas experience is currently general manager, exploration and production at Cue Energy. He previously held a number of positions at Chevron. He will start at his new position on January 3, 2017.

The company has also created a new role of group executive, human resources and named Kevin Hollingsworth to the position. Hollingsworth brings over 30 years of experience in human resources, and has recently served as executive vice president, human resources at Clough, and held senior management positions at Woodside Energy.

He will join Beach Energy on December 5, 2016, the company’s statment reads.
