Beach Energy makes executive changes

Australian oil and gas E&P company Beach Energy has made changes to the composition and structure of its senior executive team following recommendations from the company’s recent organizational review.

Earlier this year, Beach made changes in both its chief executive and chief financial officer role.

On Wednesday, November 23 the company said that Mike Dodd, currently Group Executive Exploration and Development, has been appointed to the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective January 3, 2017. Dodd joined Beach in 2007. Prior to Beach, he held senior technical and leadership roles at BG, Santos, and Anadarko.

We thank Kevin Welsh for his contribution as Acting Chief Operating Officer for the past four months, which included overseeing commencement of Beach’s FY17 operated drilling campaign. Kevin will return to his former role of General Manager Production.

Further, Jeff Schrull has been appointed to the role of Group Executive Exploration and Development. Beach said he brings over 30 years of upstream oil and gas experience. Schrull is currently General Manager Exploration and Production at Cue Energy. He previously held several senior international positions with Chevron over a 19 year period, and was subsequently at Addax Petroleum in the role of Corporate General Manager of Exploration. He will also start with Beach on January 3, 2017.

Finally, Kevin Hollingsworth will join Beach in the newly created role of Group Executive Human Resources. Hollingsworth was most recently Executive Vice President Human Resources at Clough, and previously held senior management positions with Woodside Energy. He will start with Beach on December 5, 2016.
