Belgium awaits more Qatari LNG

Fluxys-operated Zeebrugge LNG terminal will receive a cargo of liquefied natural gas from Ras Laffan.

The 145.702 cbm capacity Al Thakhira LNG carrier departed from Ras Laffan on December 25 and is scheduled for arrival on January 11, shipping data shows.

Belgium’s only LNG terminal consists of 4 LNG tanks (totaling 380.000 cbm), a truck loading station, an existing jetty and one jetty under construction due to be completed next year.

The terminal has an annual throughput capacity of nine billion cubic meters of natural gas. It imports LNG mainly from Qatar.
