Belgium awaits new LNG delivery

Another cargo of liquefied natural gas has been dispatched from Qatar to Belgium’s Zeebrugge LNG terminal.

The 173,400 cbm Stena Clear Sky LNG tanker set off from Qatar’s Ras Laffan port on May 29 and is scheduled to dock at the Zeebrugge LNG jetty on June 14, according to shipping data.

The Fluxys-operated Zeebrugge LNG terminal has an annual throughput capacity of nine billion cubic meters of natural gas. It can receive 110 carriers per year and serves as a gateway to supply LNG into Northwestern Europe.

The terminal consists of 4 LNG tanks totaling 380,00 cbm, a truck loading station, an existing jetty with one more jetty under construction and due to be completed this year.
