Belgium set for more Qatari LNG

Fluxys-operated Zeebrugge LNG terminal will receive a shipment of Qatari LNG on January 21, shipping data shows.

The cargo is being transported onboard the 145,663 cbm Lusail LNG carrier that set off from Ras Laffan on January 7.

Fluxys-operated Zeebrugge terminal is one of the major European LNG hubs able to receive 110 carriers per year.

The terminal consists of 4 LNG tanks totaling 380,00 cbm, a truck loading station, an existing jetty with one more jetty under construction and due to be completed this year.

It terminal has an annual throughput capacity of nine billion cubic meters of natural gas. It imports LNG mainly from Qatar.
