Beluga to Show its Range of Services on the Australasian Oil & Gas Exhibition & Conference

The Australasian oil & gas exhibition & conference (AOG) is Australia’s largest exhibition for the oil and gas sector. From 23rd to the 24th February 2011 Perth will expect more than 450 exhibitors from 16 countries.

Delegates, exhibitors and visitors will experience the petroleum sector as playing an increasingly important role in Western Australia, which with 500 commercial mining and petroleum projects currently underway, is one of the world’s leading resources economies. The motto this year: “The deeper you go, the more you find”. The AOG exhibition is bringing together the industry’s leading companies and specialists from all over the world and Beluga Shipping as a world market leader in the project and heavy lift segment is presenting itself with an own booth (Perth Convention Center, Booth-Nr. 36).

Visitors will meet the experts of the Beluga Chartering Department and specialists from the Beluga affiliate in Sydney, who will display the extended logistics service portfolio of the Bremen-(Germany-) based company: for instance the specifics and challenges of the project and heavy lift market and how Beluga Shipping can safely master the outstanding challenges and realizes efficient shipments independent from local port infrastructures.

The heavy-lift experts from Beluga will show the new generation of multipurpose heavy lift project carriers, the Beluga P-class. Currently there are six P1 vessels and six P2 vessels in service. Four more P2 vessels will be added to the fleet this year. Especially designed for the Super Heavy Lift Segment, the newbuildings of the Beluga P-class with combined crane capacities of 800 and 1,400 tons respectively, 20,000 tons deadweight tonnage and ice class Finnish-Swedish I A are facing every challenge of the project and heavy lift market.
