Bergen Group Gets Cranes Order from OSX (Brazil)

Bergen Group Dreggen has been awarded a new contract with the EPC contractor Techint Engenharia e Construção SA in Brazil.

The contract has an estimated value of NOK 60-70 million, and comprises delivery of a total of 4 offshore lattice boom cranes for two fixed wellhead platforms being constructed for OSX.

The contract will generate activity from Q3 2012 an throughout most of 2013, and the deliveries to the customer is scheduled to Q2 and Q4 2013.

Bergen Group Dreggen has long traditions in serving the worldwide shipbuilding and oil and gas industry with tailor-made offshore and marine cranes and lifting equipment. The company now has an order book that ensures good capacity utilization until first quarter of 2014,

Bergen Group Dreggen, which is wholly owned by Bergen Group, has over 70 employees from 15 different nationalities, and is headquartered in Bergen. The company has strengthening its international presence by establishing its own sales and service offices in Brazil and Singapore. Earlier this year, Bergen Group Dreggen signed an agreement with the Brazilian industrial player Koch Metalúrgica about strategic cooperation regarding development and production of offshore cranes to the growing Brazilian oil and gas industry.
