Bergen Group prolongs Eikeland’s commitment as CEO

Norwegian supplier of products, services and solutions to the offshore and maritime industry, Bergen Group, has signed an agreement with Hans Petter Eikeland to extend his commitment as CEO until July 1, 2017.

Eikeland was engaged as CEO of Bergen Group in August 2015 for a period of one year to manage the company through a restructuring phase.

“The Board is very pleased with the turnaround process that Hans Petter Eikeland has led over the past year. We are therefore pleased that he has agreed to extend the commitment for another year until the next summer,” says Chairman Tor Lars Onarheim.

Hans Petter Eikeland said: “Bergen Group has been through a tough and challenging, but essential restructuring process this last year. At the same time, we have managed to ensure that the Group now has a competitive expertise and capacity in continuing operations.

Eikeland also added: “Now I do look forward to continue with different processes that ensure continued profitability and an existing long-term growth for the company.”

According to Bergen Group, Eikeland is today the company’s 12th largest shareholder.
