The boards of Bergen Group ASA and Bergen Group Offshore AS have approved a merger plan between the two companies, the Oslo-listed shipbuilder informed.

The merger is said to be taking place as part of the group’s structure simplification,  as announced in the interim results for the second quarter of 2017.

In line with the merger plan, all assets, rights, and obligations of Bergen Group Offshore, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bergen Group ASA, will be transferred to the parent company.
