BG to Use Transocean Searcher for Knarr Ops (Norway)

BG Norge AS has received consent to carry out production drilling, completion and well testing on the Knarr field, with the Transocean Searcher rig.

The planned start-up is in June 2013 and the operation has an expected duration of 60-80 days.

Transocean Searcher is a semi-submersible rig of a Bingo 3000 design, built in 1983. The rig is owned by Transocean Offshore and received an Acknowledgement of Compliance (AoC) in December 2003.
