BGC takes delivery of Amadi LNG carrier

Brunei Gas Carriers has recently taken delivery of the 154,800 cbm Amadi liquefied natural gas carrier.

The Amadi was delivered to BGC on 13 July 2015 and will be employed under a long-term charter to Brunei LNG, Watson Farley & Williams Asia Practice, that has advised BGC on the delivery of the LNG carrier, said in a statement.

The Amadi, which was constructed by Hyundai Heavy Industries is a membrane-type LNG carrier. It is the fifth A class LNG carrier vessel to be added to BGC’s fleet.

WFWAP also acted for BGC on the delivery of all of its other A class LNG carriers and advised on various operational and management issues relating to BGC’s LNG fleet.

The US$183 million facility was provided by a syndicate of financiers consisting of Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam Berhad, Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ (Malaysia), HSBC and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation Europe.
