BHP Billiton offers single NWS LNG cargo

BHP Billiton launched a tender offering a single cargo of liquefied natural gas from its North West Shelf project equity.

Sources told Reuters that the bidding period for the cargo to be loaded on October 13 started on Monday.

The 16.3 mtpa facility located on the Burrup Peninsula near the Port of Dampier and the town of Karratha, is Australia’s first LNG export project.

The stakeholders in the LNG project are BHP Billiton, Chevron, BP, Japan Australia LNG, Shell and Woodside, which is the operator.
