Bilfinger Salamis nets North Sea contract worth over $100M

Maintenance, modification and operations contractor Bilfinger Salamis UK has been awarded a contract in the UKCS with a total value of over €90 million ($100.4M).

The contract is with one of the company’s largest existing clients, and is for a term of five years, with two two-year options, the company said in a press release issued Tuesday.

Bilfinger Salamis UK retains responsibility for provision of fabric maintenance and associated multi-disciplined services for the client’s assets in the Southern North Sea plus one onshore facility.

The contract employs over 100 personnel, with services provided including industrial coatings, access solutions, specialist cleaning, architectural outfitting and decommissioning support services.

The contract scope has increased to also cover offshore assets in the Central North Sea, with 30 personnel transferring to Bilfinger Salamis UK from the incumbent contractor.

“This award builds on a successful relationship with the client, and allows us to build on our excellent LTI free safety record,” said Sandy Bonner, Operations Director at Bilfinger Salamis UK.
