BLG Handles Equipment for MPI Enterprise

BLG Logistics has transported over 600 tons of heavy equipment for the MPI Enterprise installation vessel (previously known as VICTORIA MATHIAS) that MPI Offshore recently acquired from RWE Innogy.

The ship’s equipment, that was temporarily stored in Bremerhaven, has now been transported to the Container Terminal Bremerhaven, where it is awaiting for its new owner.

As part of the deal with RWE, MPI purchased a range of installation equipment, including a pile hammer, pile gate, specialist lifting tackle and numerous vessel spares, all of which complement the ship’s operations.

BLG has transported four so-called Spudcans, steel structures that increase the footprint of jack-up legs to better distribute load, and a Pile Gripper, a structure stabilising steel piles as they are driven into the seabed.
