Borr Drilling has disclosed new contract commitments for four of its premium jack-up rigs in West Africa, Europe, Southeast Asia, and the Americas.

The Prospector 5 rig has received a binding letter of award (LOA) from BW Energy in Gabon, covering a firm scope of four wells, with a minimum duration of 320 days.

This assignment is expected to begin in Q3 2026, following completion of the rig’s current contract and scheduled special periodic survey (SPS).

The award includes options that may extend the work by an additional 220 days. The 2014-built Prospector 5 rig is of Friede & Goldman JU2000E design.

With a water depth capability of up to 400 feet and a maximum drilling depth of 35,000 feet, the rig is currently working for Eni in Congo.

The Ran jack-up rig has received a six-month extension with Eni in Mexico, keeping the rig committed through September 2026.

The extension will encompass periods of drilling and accommodation activities, subject to the energy company’s operational requirements.

With a maximum drilling depth of 35,000 feet, the 2013-built Ran rig is of KFELS Super A design and can operate in water depths of up to 400 feet.

The Joro, formerly known as Noble Resilient, rig has received contract extensions in Germany from the current operator, Siemens, totaling approximately two months.

This will keep the rig occupied through May 2026. With a maximum drilling depth of 30,000 feet, the jack-up can operate in water depths of up to 350 feet.

The Thor rig has received a binding LOA from an undisclosed operator in Vietnam for a two-well campaign with an estimated duration of 100 days.

This deal will start in July 2026, in direct continuation of its current job. With a maximum drilling depth of 35,000 feet, the rig can work in water depths of 400 feet.

Borr continues to expand its footprint, as illustrated by the acquisition of Paratus’ jack-up fleet by BC Ventures, the firm’s 50/50 joint venture with CME.
