The Brazilian shipowner Oceana Offshore has named its new platform supply vessel ‘CBO Oceana’.

The CBO Oceana is the first vessel constructed at the Oceana Itajai yard in Brazil, and was named on March 9, 2016.

While the vessel was constructed in Brazil, the design comes from Norway. Designed by Ulstein, CBO Oceana is a large platform supply vessel with accommodation for 23 people.

The vessel is 88.9 meters long and 19 meters wide. According to Ulstein, with a DWT of 4,700 tonnes the vessel complies with Petrobras’ PSV 4500 tender.

Under the contract signed with Ulstein in 2013, Oceana Shipyard will build another vessel of the same design, with option to build two more.
