Black & Veatch, a provider of ‘concept to commissioning’ project solutions for the oil and gas industry, said it has named Anand Pattani as managing director for the company’s operations in India.

Based in Mumbai, Pattani, who served as the company’s vice president and region director, Europe/Middle East/India/Africa (EMEIA), for power generation and also acted as project director for infrastructure schemes in India, Europe, the Middle East, South Africa and the U.S. will lead the company’s efforts as it seeks to support India’s government initiatives, BV reveals in a statement.

Commenting on his appointment Pattani said that India is one of the world’s fastest growing infrastructure markets where BV expects to have 1,500 professionals in the next five years.

Indian Oil Corporation recently selected Black & Veatch to lead a consortium, with KSS Petron India, to execute an engineering, procurement, construction (EPC) and commissioning contract for a new liquefied natural gas receiving terminal to be located in Ennore, India.
